Saturday March 25th

The Libertarian Party of Washington State Convention will be held on March 25th in Woodinville. On Saturday the events schedule will include:

  • Business Meeting: Attendees will participate in the official business meeting of the party, including the election of new state party officers.
  • Lunch & Free Speech panel with Stuart Reges and Huskies for Liberty.
  • Dinner & keynote. Hear from Liberty Lockdown’s Clint Russell on why we have reason for defiant hope!
  • Late Night VIP debate: should Republicans Vote Libertarian or Vice Versa? Clint Russell faces off against Seattle conservative talk radio host Ari Hoffman in a Late Night Special Debate.

Sunday March 26th

The Libertarian Party of Washington State Convention will be held on March 26th in Woodinville. On Sunday the events schedule will include:

  • Presidential town hall with Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat.
  • Speech by Cody Wisniewski of Firearms Policy Coalition.
  • Lunch & Food Freedom with Jeremey Weeks.

The Pholosopher

The Pholosopher is a multimedia personality promoting a principled, philosophical message of individual liberty. She has been active with her brand since 2016, creating memes, educational videos, music, music videos, skits, merchandise, events, and artwork. She has racked up millions of views for her content and her video, 3 Common Gun Control Myths Debunked, has reached some 5.4 million views alone on Facebook. She continues to create and expand her capabilities with outreach on new platforms like Minds, Telegram, MeWe, and Ecency.


Jack V. Lloyd

Jack is a producer for liberty, creating content for The Pholosopher, Voluntaryist – The Comic Series, The Honest Teacher, and Voluntaryist Association, among others. His works span a variety of mediums, from comic books, to music, to events, to his newest non-fiction book, The Definitive Guide to Libertarian Voluntaryism. Some of his most popular produced videos include the multimillion viewed “Taxation Is Theft” short and the music video, “Mask Order,” which has over 120,000 plays on YouTube alone.


Clint Russell

Clint Russell, a second generation libertarian and finance entrepreneur who retired in his 30s, turned into a liberty ranter after the insanity of lockdowns in 2020. He is now the host of the Liberty Lockdown podcast, where he interviews an impressive variety of guests and brings clarity to current political and economic events. 


Mike Ter Maat

Mike is a candidate for the Libertarian Party presidential nomination and Austrian school economist. He has worked with the White House Office of Management and Budget and international and federal agencies, taught economics at three universities, advocated for free markets on behalf of the American Bankers Association, run a consulting business for bank executives, and served as a pro-reform police officer in Florida as a registered Libertarian. In 2021-22, he ran in the January special Congressional election in Florida’s District 20. He has one wife, two kids and two stepdaughters, two dogs and one truck, a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and MS and PhD degrees in Economics from The George Washington University.


Chase Oliver

Chase, a candidate for the LP presidential nomination, is a champion of the rights of the individual against the growing power of the state. He began his political activism opposing the War in Iraq under George Bush, aligning with the Libertarian Party after an encounter at the Atlanta Pride Festival in 2010. In 2020 he ran for Congress in Georgia’s 5th district. In 2022 he ran for US Senate, debating incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker–and was widely credited with causing the runoff. Chase has appeared on PBS, CNN, Fox Business, CSPAN, WSB TV and Radio, Fox 5, 11 Alive News, Vice Media, Reason TV. He has been featured in the NY Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone.


Cody Wisniewski

Cody J. Wisniewski is a Senior Attorney for Constitutional Litigation with Firearms Policy Coalition, where he focuses on the Second Amendment and other constitutional questions. Cody regularly speaks and writes on the subject being featured in the Washington Times, Washington Examiner, National Review, The Federalist, Daily Wire, the Truth About Guns, and more.  Cody graduated cum laude and earned his B.A. in Joint Honours Classics and Philosophy from the University of Ottawa.  He then graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law with his Juris Doctorate and a concentration in Business and Corporate Law.  


Stuart Reges

Stuart Reges is a Teaching Professor in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. He held similar positions at Stanford University and the University of Arizona in a career spanning 35 years. In 1985 he won the Dinkelspiel Award for Outstanding Service to Undergraduate Education at Stanford. In 2012 he won the Distinguished Teaching Award, the highest award given by UW for teaching. Stuart was fired from Stanford in 1991 for protesting the war on drugs and worked at the Libertarian Party national headquarters for several years, serving as National Director in 1993 and testifying before two Congressional committees on behalf of the Libertarian National Committee. 


Huskies for Liberty

Huskies for Liberty is a new student organization at the University of Washington dedicated to promoting the values of free speech, individual rights, limited government, and consent on the UW campus and beyond. They host important discussions on free choice, individuality, voluntaryism, and other topics pertaining to libertarianism and related movements, and aspire to invite pro-free speech and pro-liberty speakers to UW. “We don’t let intimidation be the reason we said nothing.” 


Leo Russell

Leonora “Leo” Russell is a licensed mental health therapist and substance use professional in the state of Washington. She has worked for twenty years with the states most vulnerable populations in child welfare, involuntary commitment, public defense, harm-reduction groups, and Native American justice projects. She runs ADAPT-WA.org, the legal psilocybin effort for Washington state. She also is the author of the Black Sheep Manifesto and Yes, That White Woman Wants Your Baby; Stories From The Field of Social Work.

She previously led Decrim Nature Seattle, which was the largest city in the world at the time to decriminalize entheogens. She now leads Entheo Society of Washington (entheosocietywa.org), focused on plant medicine education and community building in Washington state and beyond.
